Zeta Zeta Chapter is proud to sponsor and award an annual scholarship dedicated to the memory of our Triumphant Soror Karen Lynne Harris. Karen Lynne Harris was a charter member of Zeta Zeta chapter who held the sorority in high regard. She was an active and financial supporter of the organization since joining on April 16, 1977 on the campus of Illinois State University. Karen was born into eternity on September 22, 1998 and in her memory, Zeta Zeta Chapter awards annually a college scholarship to a female high school senior who holds a high standard for academics. There will be several non-renewable scholarships awarded in varying amounts.
The scholarship is open to applicants who meet the following criteria:
- Female high school student graduating at the end of the 2016-17 academic year
- U.S. Citizen
- Resident of the Chicago land area (Chicago and its surrounding suburbs)
- Has a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or better
