Zeta Zeta Chapter, originally chartered in 1926, was re-chartered on October 3, 1987 as the result of thirty-three graduate and professional women (with educational backgrounds that include: bachelors, masters, doctoral and law degrees) in the Dolton, Illinois area. These women brought a wealth of information and resources from their undergraduate Zeta experiences to assist in making this chapter a force to be reckoned with. Since its inception, Zeta Zeta chapter is proud of the following accomplishments: upholding a rich tradition of sisterhood, having members to serve in various elected and appointed positions on all levels in the sorority and instilling within our youth auxiliaries the importance of a quality education, having respect for others and oneself, and to be proud of our rich heritage. Zeta Zeta Chapter provides service to various charitable organizations and holds annual programs in accordance with the International Programmatic Efforts of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated.

Zeta Zeta Chapter has excelled in programming through effective chapter management and a strong commitment to the community. Volunteer activities are monthly with various community organizations that relate to international goals and programs of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated. The chapter has adopted and volunteers with numerous organizations including:

  • American Cancer Society
  • American Heart Association
  • The Dorchester Senior Center and Retirement Home
  • Gift of Hope
